Question Description

Consider everything you have learned thus far in the module about bipedality (all of the anatomical changes necessary for this change).
Consider the potential benefits of bipedal locomotion. You can also take a look at Table 9-2 from the textbook (p. 281) – this was not part of our assigned readings (which were already pretty lengthy for this module), so I have attached it as a PDF image here.
Write a short response (a paragraph to a page in length) about what evolutionary drivers you believe may have led to bipedality. (You do not have to choose one of the proposed hypotheses listed in the table.) Even just reflecting on what tasks our bipedal locomotion enables you to do in daily life would allow you to respond to this question!
