The ever-changing world and technology have really affected how the office looks now and how they will look in the future. There is a lot of reason why offices have started changing and one of the reason is due to the growth in telecommuting and additional mobile arrangement (Harris, 2018). The other recent reason is due to the current pandemic, which is a coronavirus. This has affected the way people work and therefore it means that hopefully after the pandemic the organizations and business might have ideas on how they can be able to set up their offices. This is something that organizations will think of based o the performance of their employees.

The officers that exist today may not be able to exist in the coming teen years. The new technologies have brought up change and one of the best ways is that the new environments have various features that make this possible (Dery, Sebastian & van der Meulen, 2017). One of the ways is the open office. Many organizations are now moving from private offices to open workplaces. This is very important because it gives the workers flexibility in terms of how they interact and how they share ideas as well. Harris, W. J. (2018). Additionally, with such kind of setup, supervising is also easy and the teams can be able to have quick valuable conversations.

Another feature is referred to as neighborhoods. This kind of approach is widely used by Microsoft Company. This involves coming up with walls that tumble down (Dery, Sebastian & van der Meulen, 2017). Each team in this case works in a large and common room. This design and setup are part of the employee’s design so that they can be able to work comfortably in their environment. Therefore, this design is very important in enhancing employee’s confidence and this motivates them to work comfortably.
