For the 2nd write up assignment you will watch the documentary entitled ‘American Tongues’(1988). The documentary explores different regional (and some social) dialects of English in the US, and examines stereotypes and prejudices associated with several of those dialects.

Word limit is minimum 500 words and maximum 1000 words.

Include 3-4 specific instances of negative stereotyping/ prejudice towards regional variations.
Include any information presented in the film that discusses the effect of negative stereotyping/ prejudice on the speakers.
