Hello everyone —

My name is John Doe and I am the founder of Fresno Positive Vibe. Being born and raised in Fresno is no easy task, especially growing up in the community that i come from but it certainly has its rewards. One of those rewards is the mental strength and toughness that I gained from growing up there. Another one of those rewards would have to be the passion I developed to give back to my city. And for those two rewards, I am forever thankful to my city. Many of those who know me personally know that I have a passion for soccer and that like most of the young African Americans in Fresno, I thought that my only way to make it out was to make it as professional athlete. So I pursued that route and after completing a year of college and playing soccer in the state of Texas, I returned to my home city where I attended Fresno City college and played soccer there as well. I was fortunate enough to be picked as one of the Fresno City men’s soccer captains that year winning MVP of the league and leading my team to a division championship but falling short in the state finals finishing in 4th place. It was truly one of the greatest experiences of my life and I am forever thankful to the coaches and players at Fresno City. As the soccer season was coming to a close, reality sank in and I knew I wasn’t going to make it pro so I decided to enlist in the military. In 2011 I joined the military and was also lucky enough to marry my soul mate and give birth to a beautiful little boy. Throughout my military career I realized two things! One was I developed a passion for traveling around the world and number two was realizing my passion for helping others. After realizing this passion, I’ve contemplated for years thinking of how could I use this passion and energy to give back to my city. Fresno Positive Vibe is the result of those years of contemplation. My greatest hope and desire is to use Fresno Positive Vibe to inspire, empower, and to encourage all to follow their passion no matter what!
