In a five-paragraph argumentative essay, please answer the following question.
Given what you know about the United States between 1877 and 1945, do you think the Japanese American experience during World War 2 was typical or exceptional for racial and ethnic minorities in America?
To answer this question, you have to think about a couple of things. First, think about the experiences of Japanese Americans during the war and the thinking that drove the way they were treated.Then consider the experiences of other minority groups in the U.S. between 1877 and 1945.Think about whether internment was predictable or if it was extreme even by the standards of the U.S. in the seven decades following Reconstruction.Do not answer “both.”You must take a side and make an argument.
