In this assignment, you will have the opportunity to use all the knowledge you have gained and apply it a real-world company.

Organizations must take a proactive approach to sustainability issues in order to remain competitive and make ethical choices in regards to the environment. As you saw in Unit 5, IKEA is an example of a company that has committed to sustaining the environment in several ways: through their products, their buildings, and their business practices.

For this assignment, select a company that evidences a commitment to environmental sustainability. Be sure to choose a company that has plenty of available information on it. (For example, a publicly traded company like Apple, Amazon, Goo- gle, Exxon-Mobile, or Tesla would be ideal choices.) Research the company as it relates to sustainability issues they face; you can often learn a lot by reviewing their annual report (also known as the 10-K report) found on the company website under Investor Relations or on Yahoo Finance. Your report must be five-seven pages and incorporate at least five credible sources.

Include the following in your report:

1 Analyze the sustainability challenges and opportunities you see evidenced in the company of your choice

2 Compare your selected company to at least two other companies that are taking a unique approach to address similar sustainability-related issues

3 Provide further recommendations as to how the company can address sustainability. Be sure your recommendations are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound. Justify your assertions with evidence.

4 Compose a conclusion that summarizes the key aspects of your report
