Week 5 Discussion
Charts and graphs are used quite often in newspaper articles, magazines, books, and various online articles. There are pros and cons to using these types of visual representations. Describe one pro and one con for using a graph or chart. Share an example of a time when this type of visual changed your mind about something or gave you a deeper understanding of a topic or current event.

Good morning Class and Professor
The truth of the matter is, in the workplace there are two groups of people. One’s who relates to the numbers and the ones who focus on the actions. When you think in terms of management. That’s the area where the numbers and graphs are the focus. Whereas when you think about entry level workers, they don’t understand the world of numbers. There’s more comfort in simply hearing if business is good or bad.
I worked as a Safety Coordinator and had to compile graphs weekly for management and place them on the boards throughout the plant for associates to see. It was not surprising to me to see how low the numbers were of associates took the time to stop and view the charts and graphs.
